Gorgeous Victorian (1880s-1890s) German handcrafted chainmail mesh purse. Very rare and in good condition for its age.Weighs approx. 1.5lbs due to chainmail steel and gilded silver frame closure.Slight tarnish on clasp & chain with a touch of rust. Some loose stitching inside where the lining is attached. Measurements: 6” L x 5” H. Hangs at approx. 13” w/its single 16” long chain. Frame opens at max 4” wide.Crinkled silk lining about 2.5” deep. A true collector's item!
